Sarah Allerby graduated from the University of Auckland with a law degree and an arts degree in Economics and Film, TV and Media Studies before being admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 2009.  She worked in tax policy for the government before becoming Business Affairs Executive at the New Zealand Film Commission where she handles legal matters relating to financing and distribution of feature films as well as assisting in administration of the SPIF and Large Budget grants.  She enjoys directing, producing, editing and watching short films and has a particular interest in cinematography.
