The Film Archive in association with the Goethe Institut, ProductionShed.TV and SPADA present a discussion on children’s television with panel guests David Kleeman (President of the American Centre for Children and Media), Martin Baynton (Pukeko Pictures) and Yvonne Mackay (ProductionShed.TV), hosted by Dr. Ruth Zanker (Broadcasting School).

Developing a framework that could be helpful both to parents wishing to find the right media for their particular child, and to content creators, enabling them to step back and make sure that they are “on track” with what current children want to watch, is vital in creating high quality content for children.

The panel will discuss current issues of children’s television in New Zealand, look at the demise of Public Service Broadcasting and what that means to our children and content creators.
