Laurent Antonczak is an Emerging Technology, Visual Communication & Brand Strategist as well as a Creative Director and Educator.
He has extensive international experience gained as an Art Director & Creative Director in TV, Animation, Corporate Identity, Branding and Marketing. Laurent has managed and coordinated significant communication projects in studios throughout England, France, Luxembourg and New Zealand – where he specialised in developing creative strategies and communications for companies such as Toyota, Arcelor, HSBC, Ford, Exxon Mobile, Goldman Sachs, Vodafone, the French Embassy (Wellington) and RTL (RTL Group, part of Bertelsmann Group, is the leading European broadcaster).
Laurent lectures New Media and Visual Communication at AUT University’s School of Art & Design in Auckland playing a key role in lecturing Honours and Masters students in Graphic and New Media of the postgraduate department and leading the “moving image” component of the Bachelor of Graphic Design.
Laurent is one of the key group coordinators of CoLab (CoLab, Interdisciplinary Creative Technology Centre, which is engaged with communication, convergence, creativity and collaboration enabled through new technologies, and is built on partnerships between AUT University, MIC Toi Rerehiko and other New Zealand arts organisations, practitioners, technology companies, industry bodies and communities).
Alongside AUT computer scientist Andrew Ensor, Laurent manages ‘MoTec: Mobile Technologies’ which focuses on mobile phone applications and development.
Recently, Laurent successfully initiated and actively participated (as mentor) at the launched of DocumentaryEdgeLab2010, a collaboration between CoLab & Documentary Edge.
