Marilyn Milgrom
Marilyn Milgrom comes from a diverse background in script consultancy, screenwriting and development. Prior to that, she worked in a number of production-related roles as an actor; script reader/editor in theatre, film & TV; and as a casting director and producer/director of short films, TV documentaries and drama. She has also worked as a tutor for Arista Development, and has designed and delivered training and development programmes for Screen East, EM Media and The Smirnoff Reel Experience Talent Award. She has been a workshop leader for the Arvon Foundation and has run writers’ workshops and tutored in Jerusalem, Mumbai, Kiev, Oslo, Brazil, Singapore and Warsaw.
Marilyn is External Examiner to the MA Screenwriting Course at the London Film School, a post she previously held at the National Film and Television School. She is Senior Tutor at The Script Factory, a screenplay development organisation, for whom she helps devise and run training courses in the UK and abroad. She has just contributed the chapter on scriptwriting to the book Get Your Short Film Funded, Made & Screened. Marilyn has worked as reader/consultant for Working Title, APT Films, Catch 23 UK, Little Wing Films, Screen West Midlands, Film Four Lab and First Take Films.
